Danby Honed Marble Kitchen Project

Cosmos fabricated and installed honed Danby marble for the large island and much of the perimeter in this kitchen. The island carries the seating and a downdraft cooktop, and marble continues along the counters and up as backsplash panels. A contrasting dark counter runs along part of the perimeter beside it.

The honed finish keeps the surface matte rather than reflective, and the soft gray veining stays visible across the broad island top and the taller backsplash panels. Dark cabinetry, a planked vaulted ceiling, upholstered stools, and warm-toned flooring surround the marble.
