Kitchen Countertop Fabrication and Installation
Looking for new kitchen countertops? Cosmos Marble & Granite is a leading kitchen countertop installer and fabrication company serving Greater Philadelphia. Cosmos works directly with homeowners, interior designers, builders, remodelers, and other trade professionals.
Every project is planned around the actual layout: perimeter runs, islands, sinks, cooktops, overhangs, backsplashes, and the way the kitchen will be used. Material selection begins at the Huntingdon Valley showroom, followed by templating, in-house fabrication, finishing, and installation.
Choose the right material for your kitchen
- Quartz: Consistent patterns, broad color choices, and no routine sealing.
- Quartzite: Natural movement with slab-specific color and care requirements.
- Granite: Natural pattern, strong everyday performance, and periodic sealing.
- Marble: Distinctive veining for homeowners who understand etching and care.
- Porcelain: A thin, dense surface that requires experienced fabrication.
Plan the countertop around the kitchen
The layout determines more than square footage. Openings, overhangs, seams, edge profiles, supports, cabinet conditions, removal, and plumbing all affect the final scope.
Review the Countertop Installation ProcessSinks, cooktops, and faucets
The template records the openings and clearances for the approved sink, cooktop, faucet, and other fixtures. Cosmos handles sink cutouts and mounting as part of the approved scope.
Edges, seams, and backsplashes
Edge profiles, seam placement, short backsplashes, and full-height stone backsplashes affect the amount of material and fabrication work. These choices are confirmed before the slab is cut.
Cabinets, support, and removal
The cabinets and supports must match the approved plan before templating. Cosmos can also handle cabinet work, old-countertop removal, and plumbing disconnect and reconnect when those services are included in the quote.

Kitchen countertop FAQs
What is the best material for kitchen countertops?
The best material depends on appearance, care, heat exposure, stain concerns, budget, and how the kitchen is used. Quartz, Quartzite, Granite, Porcelain, and Marble can all work in kitchens, but they do not have the same maintenance or fabrication requirements.
How much do kitchen countertops cost?
Kitchen countertop cost depends on total square footage, material and slab selection, edge profile, backsplash, sink and cooktop openings, seam planning, removal, cabinet or support work, and installation conditions. Cosmos prepares the price after reviewing the project and selected material.
How long does the process take after templating?
Cosmos generally plans about 10 days from template to installation. Complex fabrication, product availability, project changes, or site-readiness issues can extend the schedule.
Do cabinets need to be installed before templating?
The final cabinet layout and required supports need to be in place and ready for an accurate template. If cabinet work is part of the Cosmos scope, that work is coordinated before the countertop template.
Does Cosmos remove existing kitchen countertops?
Yes. Cosmos handles old-countertop removal when it is included in the approved project scope. The quote also confirms any plumbing, appliance, cabinet, or repair work tied to the removal.
Can Cosmos reconnect the kitchen plumbing?
Yes. Plumbing disconnect and reconnect can be included with the project. The exact sink, faucet, disposal, and appliance responsibilities are documented in the approved quote.
